The ponytail. There has never been a classic hairstyle. I don’t think so! Although the ponytail style is the ultimate, it’s the quickest way to fall into a hair rut.
This is what I’ve been experiencing lately. It was the same ponytail every day. It was too easy! It’s not difficult to spice up your ponytail. I got out my rut adding braids twists and accessories. You can also do this! Prepare for the fall with a collection of ponytails that are more sophisticated. Here are a few ideas…
Wrapped ponytail
Wrapped ponytail
Wrap Star – You know what is NOT cute? Spot a black elastic in a otherwise beautiful ponytail. Wrapping your ponytail around a piece of hair gives it a much more polished appearance. To create a style that will stay in place, use the thick hair tie and then wrap your hair around it. It may not be as durable as you would like if you tie your ponytail with only your own hair.
Low ponytail
Cute Twisted Low Pony
This style is not only easy to do, but it’s also one of the biggest trends for fall. Add texture to your hair using a root-lifter, such as Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Plus, for a messy look. This look will work better on second (or third… or fourth!) Keep this in mind when you plan your look. To create a more polished look, spray a shine product like Sebastian Shine and define to finish your style. Low pony hairstyles are great for any situation.
Ponytail with Accessory

Add Something Extra
Add an accessory if you want to get out of the ponytail rut. It’s not just about the butterfly clips. You can find cheap hair accessories at online shops such as Asos and Nasty Gal. Do you like to DIY? Try wrapping your ponytail with a leather cord – it’s edgy without trying too hard. See our last post for some more ideas on how to accessorize your hair.
Braided PonyBraid Baby:
Braids do not have to be limited to summer! Combine this classic look with your ponytail to carry it into the fall. This super gorgeous look, from The Joy of Fashion Blog, even includes two other styles (the low pony and the wrapped pony) to create one amazing ponytail. This is a great ponytail, so you’ll definitely want to keep the style in place. Use a hairspray for a long-lasting finish. Aquage Freeze Spray will have you confident that ‘do ain’t goin’ anywhere.
Multi ponytail
After all, it is back-to-school season. Multiply that ponytail three times! To fake the faux hawk, try going for a smooth and sleek look like in the photo. The secret to a smooth ‘do? Use a polishing cream to prevent flyaways. Try Kenra Platinum Shaping Creme – I swear by this to keep my bangs in line (no easy task).
Teased Ponytail
Tease your crown: It’s natural to tease your crown when it comes to teasing. Why not tease even the ponytail itself? This results in a bold and big ponytail, perfect for an evening out with the girls. This guide to teasing shows you how to do it the right way without turning your hair into a tangle. Nobody has time for that.
